More information can be ob tained at the Mountain Chiropractic Office in Cortez. tal Clinical Evaluation of Two competing Hospitals. A clinical comparison observation was made of the medical orthopedic wards of two hospitals where patients with low back syndrome were treated. One of the hospitals incorporated chiropractic care with its medical care. The other did not. The observations were made by a medical physician (orthopedist), D. Per Frchag, M.D., who was on the staff of both hospitals. Result: The hospital using chiropractic care had 7 days in hospital average stay compared to 14 days in the hospital without chiropractic care. At an average cost of $1,000 per day, the savings amounted to between $7,000 to $9,000 per patient. The medical orthopedist observer attributed the lower average in hospital stay to be entirely due to using chiropractic adjustments, revealing 2 - 1 superiority with chiropractic care. 5-- The Hendryson Report - A Military Orthopedic Ward Study During World War II Irvin Hendryson, M. D., a member of the American Medical Association board of trustees, conducted a clinical comparison study of G.I.s treated with chiropractic adjustments, and a control group of other G.I.s treaded medically. The army provided him with an ideal climate of patient control, and little patient rapport other than discussing their specific ailments. He sent the results of his study to the AMA which only recently were made public. His conclusion: Chiropractic had impressive success with some medical failures, the chiropractic adjustments were at least as effective as some of the best army treatment available and should be an integral part of all medical orthopedic wards. He also noted that chiropractic had significant success with women in their third trimester of pregnancy. He found that women were able to carry and deliver children with more comfort when getting chiro- WELL ESTABLISHED turn key operation. 4,546 sq. ft. store and gas station located on Blandings main intersection.
