The Board anticipates that the meetings will conclude about 7 p.m. This schedule permits more patrons to attend board meetings after work. The School Board will continue to hold board meetings in different locations in the county. The schedule of meetings for the remainder of this year is: March 20: board room, Monticello. April 17: Media Center in Blanding. May 15: board room, Monticello. June 19: board room, Monticello. The meeting schedule for the next school year will be announced in June. A display of over 1,000 historic photographs and newspapers collected by Steve Lacy, as well as other memorabilia will be open to the public at 6 p.m. The program will begin at 7 p.m. with a short documentary film about Posey followed by a panel presentation moderated by Stan Bronson. Panelists include Meyers and Chester Cantsee, Ervin Guymon, Tonya Morris, Allan Black, Anna Nat and Bob McPhearson. Each panelist will share in formation they know about Posey and the uprising of 1923. After the presentation the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and share information.
