The Christmas season has officially begun in Blanding. It started off with the lighting ceremony. First was clogging by Joni and Gary Lyman at the Memorial Park. The next stop was the intersection of Main and Center where the fifth grade class of Patty Lyman sang Christmas music and the giant Christmas tree was lit. Then it was on to the South Chapel on Main Street for the fighting of the beautiful Nativg ity scene and a town directed by Pete Henderson and Karalee Austin. The fighting ceremony has become a tradition in Blanding and every year more people catch the spirit and decorate sing-a-lon- 4-Corn- Weather Nov Monticello Hi Lo Pr 20 38 22 23 24 25 26 Bah-Humbu- However, all those caught vandalizing Christmas fights and decorations will be prosecuted. Parents will be held responsible for their childrens actions. Ellen Brown has returned from the Florida Jacksonville Mission. All her family had Thanksgiving together Thursday and then Ellen reported her mission Sunday in the Eighth Ward. Dora Bayles had all her great-grandchildr- en Ricky and Jill Lyman Rarick of Honolulu, welcomed a new baby boy into their family. Casey Brian arrived on Octo- Thanksgiving Bayles. Grandma Arlene ber 22. a Lyman and Maggie Lyman flew to Hawaii for two weeks to help out and get acquainted with the new addition. Glen and Patsy Shumway had all their family home for Thanksgiving. Pat and Todd Black of Provo, Leslie and Sam Anderson and family of Texas, Cory of Murray, Jeff and Jody Bailey and family of Monti-cellCassie and Scott Boyle Nedra Palmer Hunt and Gordon L. Hatch were married November 19 in the Ogden Temple. Those attending from Blanding: Hanson, and Nadine great-grandm- Gregg Baird. Ray and Maggie Lyman celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary November 19 with a family dinner and program. All seven of their children were in attendance along with lots of grandchildren and with Judys parents Hanson and Nadine Bayles, Ellis and Mabel June Palmer, Phillip and LaWana Palmer, Tom and Kari Palmer, Don and Pat Palmer, Glen and Betty Skinner, and Calvin and VerDonne Blake. Becky Walling of the Farmington Visitors and Convention Bureau is president elect. Nancy Dickey of Mancos was retained as secretary. The officers will service with an eight member executive board 2! There is beauty and excitement for all to behold, so take the time to see the decorations. Gwen Hurst Jones of Provo spent Thanksgiving here visaing with her sisters and brother. Terry and Judy Herman and boys of Elko, Nevada spent Teresa and Bill Lucas and family of Mesa, and Lisa Bunting and son Taylor of Kanab, spent Thanksgiving with their family, Margaret Taylor, Homer Taylor and Marian Bayles. children, plus most of her grandchildren and together for Thanksgiving. Devon and Gene Hurst, Ray and Catherine Johnson and family, and Ambrose and Shari Mexican and family traveled to Provo Tuesday to attend the wedding of their son and brother Perry Johnson. The children of Bruce and Margaret Shumway all came home from Provo.
