If not, come to the San Juan County libraries and check one out. We appreciate these fine facilities that the county has provided for us and hope that everyone will use them. Many representatives from San Juan County attended the annual State Farm Bureau Convention which was held in Salt Lake City. From Monti-cell- o were James and Bernice Barry, Ty Lewis and Dan Mclnnes. John and Devon Codner visited their son Dr. Bill Codner and family in Provo. Bill was put in as Bishop of the BYU 49th Ward. Evan Lowrys mother from Manti is here visiting with her family. Annette Jameson is spending a week with her sister, Gwen Halls, and her mother, Susan Jameson. Annette is now living in Washington, D.C. Patti Husted and her children spent a few days in Texas. Many people left town for the Thanksgiving weekend. Some of them are the Joe Davis family who went to Idaho; John and Vickie Dowell; Jo Jeppson, who went to her sisters place; Arlow Freestone, who went to New York; and Ron Atkinson and his family, who went to Smithfield. Eldon and Noreece Johnson and the Ty Lewis family went to Mesa. They also attended a Charles Whipple family reunion at the Mesa City park. A busload of youth and leaders from Albuquerque, New Mexico broke down at Crescent Junction on their way home from Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Cooper Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Jensen, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Frost just happened to stop there. They arranged to find places for the busload of people to stay, and to have the bus repaired. The travelers were grateful for the kindness and friendliness of the people a here. (This Is Not A Misprint) Court report November 14, 1988 Defendant Nicholas K. Yazzie bound over to answer charges in District Court on December 15. Yazzie charged with unauthorized control of a vehicle, illegal use of credit card, DUI, no drivers license, and supplying false name or address to law enforcement officer. Defendant remanded to cus- - tody' V- - VAH V.v.'1 Utah Power is lowering its Utah rates by almost $18 million. Combined with three previous, 1988 reductions, UP&L rates have decreased by nearly 6 percent since January.
