Lots of students leaving to go back to school: Shawna Pen-fielis going back to the Judson School in Paradise Valley, Arizona. DeAnn and Colleen Richardson, daughters of Bill and Myrl, will be attending Utah State again this year. Sondra Crowley, daughter of Buz and Sharon, will be going Marge and J.W. Crowley and the Buz Crowley family attended a family get together at Bent Monticello Museum Rogers. David Young, Camille Peterson, Vicki Tracy, Travis Taylor d Tava Hatch, of LaSal, was the winner of the Monticello Museum Boards baby quilt raffle in a drawing at the San Juan County Farm Bureau Talent Find on August 27. The quilt was made by Ginger Tracy with a bit of help from her mother and sister, Nell Dalton and Carol Forrest. It won a blue ribbon at the County Fair. The museum is closed for the season. Thanks for all your support. See you next spring. years of shared love Lawrence and Lucille Wright observed their 61st wedding anniversary in August sixty-on- e years of shared love and sixty-on- e years of sharing their love, concern and help with children, relatives, friends, neighbors, and strangers. They have used their many talents and skills to help the sick, the poor, the bereaved, the curious child, and the Lawrence and Lucille arrived in Blanding at about the same time but by different routes. Lawrences father was out of work and Edson Black, Lawrences uncle, helped the family (nine children) move to Utah from St. Johns, Arizona. The cold March night the family arrived in Blanding, Lawrenr old brother died of ces pneumonia. Lucille came to Blanding via El Paso after her family was forced to leave Juarez, Mexico when that country was tom by revolution. Lucille and Lawrence were married on August 25, 1926 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. Their children are J. LaMar, Melvin, LaVae, Mildred and Beverly Ann. Loving tribute was paid to Lawrence and Lucille by their children, grandchildren, and at a family reunion on July 24. The tribute included a history of their life un-fixabl- e. two-yea- great-grandchildr- en together, written accolades, and other family information printed as a pamphlet. For the reunion, all of the families pulled trailers to the mountain recreation area near Price and did all the feasting, fun, and activities that go with a family reunion. It was hosted this year by Dr. J. LaMar and Hydra of Logan. Dr. Jack and Mildred Seitz of Vernal, Mel and Linda of Vernal, Beverly Ann Day of West Valley, and many of the grandchildren and attended. and Redd of LaVae Lyman Blanding had an accident on the way to the reunion and, much to their dismay, could not get there. Lucille and Lawrence have been active in the LDS Church all of their lives. They have spent many hours on the road in order to attend the big and small occasions in the lives of their loved ones weddings, great-grandchildre- Danny Rouse, son of Dee and Carol Rogers, is recovering from burns received in an accident. He is out of the hospital now. He lives in J apan. Viola Frey and Darlene Kemper from Liberal, Kansas are house guests of the Dee and Ivy Hogland are all kindergartners who ride on Dee Rogers bus. The First Baptist Church in Monticello recently welcomed 32 people from southern Texas who came to help finish building the church. Rex and Herma Lee Johnson and Diane Tracy and two children spent several days visiting in Sandy. Bill and Leona Peters and Jaime Crowley home. Eastland Relief Society will meet September 21 at 10 a.m. Janet Warner, R.N. will give a program on first aid. Shawna Penfield took her quarter horse to the regional horse show August 29 in Duchene, Utah. She won one blue, two red, and four white ribbons, plus a lead rope. 4-- My favorite book First grade students at Monticello Elementary School will all recieve a book titled My Favorite Book courtesy of Black Oil Company and Kents Foods. My Favorite Book is designed and written to bring positive influences into the life of each of the children, according to The Ambassador Company who sponsors the book program. Pauline Immel, of Albuquerque, were recent house guests at the fare- wells, blessings, graduations, birthdays, and more. Lawrence and Lucille have survived major and minor disasters together, celebrated big and small triumphs, shared joy and satisfaction, and are still very much enjoying all that life has to offer.
