Though the game was excitingand fast, it was a Buckaroo ball game the start. Final score, from Monticello 56, Norwood, 47. was ouy turn to win a game. The Bucks finished the season with 7 wins and 11 losses and the memory of two overtime games. Buckaroo junior varsity was defeated by the Mavericks in Ivan Aloysious and overtime. Michael Lovato led the Bucks into the overtime period in an action Bucks found their range early and pumped in shot after shot which the Mavericks had a hard time matching. Hacker, who was in foul trouble and sat out most of the second half, fouled out the first minute of the fourth quarter. After that, Grantsville went inside and hurt the Broncos on the offensive boards. The Cowboys drew to within one before Jens Nielson point, 0, hot hand and pulled the a got Broncos to a 5 -- point lead. The Cowboys took a long shot which was plucked off the board by Riki Rarik, who was fouled in the process. Rarik had one second in which to make the free throw, which he couldnt quite pull off. There was no time left for Grantsville. Three Bronco players had double figure scores. Nielson played his best game, scoring 27 points, 16 of which came in the important fourth period.
