Besides member of the birthday club, of which Mrs. Winters is a member, invited guests were Beth Wright, Myrtle Redd, Vernis Harris, Hattie Jones and Goldie Olsen, a daughter of Mrs. Winters. Goldie and Richard Olsen of Salt Lake City came last Wednesday to move Mrs. Winters to Scottsdale. Her friends are sorry to have her leave Blan-din- g. She has lived here over 60 years. We hope she will be happy and enjoy her new home. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Jones received a visit from the stork on Wednesday, when a new son arrived at their home. They have a daughter and three other sons. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Perkins and Mr . and Mrs. Keith Jones are the proud mer. The ally like to play on the spacious lawn and eat grandmas good food. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Black have returned home from Salt Lake City after a five week stay while Marion recuperated from knee surgery. Their neighbors and friends wish for him a speedy recovery. A busload of Senior Citizens went on an excursion on to Natural Wednesday Bridges, Muley Point and the valley of the Gods. There were ten passengers on the bus. Wilbur Laws was the driver. Their picnic was eaten near the Bridges, and everyone had the best time. There were beautiful wild flowers along the roads which added to the enjoyment of the trip. Mr. Ramon Black made a business trip to Salt Lake the fore part of the week and stop- ped in Provo to get his daugh- ter Cynthia, who has been missionaries. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cavanaugh and five children of the reservation in New Mexico came in Saturday for a few days visit with their friends. They are former While residents. Blanding were here they guests of Ada and Truman Rigby. They expect to visit family members in Provo before returning Mes-cale- ro home from their vacation. It was good to see them again. Mrs. Ardell Osterguaard came down from her home in Linden, Utah, to help out at the home of her daughter, Naida Black, and husband Clisbee, and their children.
