Show derful time, and Mr. Bronson says he wouldnt have missed it for anything. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Barton and family returned from Salt Lake, son, Steven, entered the L.D.S. Mission Home, prior to his Mission to Costa Rica. They were joined in Salt Lake by Mr. and Mrs. John Roberts, of Tabiona, for a short visit. On Saturday, July 12th, the Bronson clan had a family party at Devils Canyon for Reagen prior to his church Mission to Chili. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Bronson and Tammy; Reagen and friend, Kelly Butt; Fletcher Bronson; Mr. and Mrs. Ace Holden, Marian and Anne; Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Holden; Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Hansen; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and granddaughter, Robson Cassandra Iverson; Mr. and Mrs. Warren Bronson and a Kathleen and Leesa niece; and Mrs. Steven Mr. Smith; Bronson and family; and Mr. Max Black and and Mrs. family. They had a nice supper and visit among the whispering pines. Mr. and Mrs. Claire Toponce recently attended the NARGUS (NationalAssociation of Retail Grocers of the United States) Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had four days of workshops, speakers, meals, entertainment, etc. Some of the outstanding speakers were Sen. Pete Domenici of New Mexico; Wm R. Mrs. Frank Turner of West Yellowstone, Montana, returned home last Wednesday, An eight pound boy named after spending a week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Barton. She came to welcome her new granddaughter, Shon-de- ll Barton, and to help care for her and brother Britt, and sister, Jenny. Mrs. Arvilla Vogel, Mrs. Vida Brinton, and Mrs. Bobbie Cochenauer of Mesa, Arizona were overnight guests in Monticello recently. Mrs. Vogel is a sister of Mrs. Clement Johnson. The ladies were to Manti to attend the Mormon Miracle. pageant, Mrs. Maggie Halls said that one of her neighbors in Colorado lost 50 head of steers recently to poison larkspur. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Hansen en-rou- te recently took C leones father, Fletcher Bronson, who is 90, Cecils mother, Ruth Hansen, and Cecils aunt, Mary Pully, 75, totheCalgaryStam-ped- e in Calgary, Canada. Ripley--- it Dixie Shore is visiting a week with Mr. and Mrs. Claire Toponce and family, prior to her departure for Germany. Mrs. Shore is Claires sister. The Farm Bureau picnic at the Blue Mountain Guest Ranch same holds true today. Guests were also treated to one of Lucy Harris rib ticklers, which was almost as good as the rhubarb pie. Horseshoes andvolley ball were the favorite games of the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Patten of Provo visited the Alex Jamesons over the weekend. They were enroute home from an eighteen month mission in Florida. Cortez Crazy Days was well attended by people from Monticello. I counted 43 people, and could have missed some in the shuffle. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Redd and daughter, Cindy, returned retour cently from a month-lon- g of the European countries with their son, Paul and his wife, Chris. They arrived in Germany in time to see Paul commissioned a First Lieutenant in the United States Army, and also to see him put in the High Council of the LDS Church there. The Redds flew from New York. Paul was granted a 30 day leave, and they all traveled The in his camper-bu- s. Ausgroup toured Germany, tria, Italy, Switzerland, Bavaria, Belgium, France, and England, spending three days in London. Pauls wife speaks German, and they were able to get by famously with the two languages at their command. The Redds say it was a memorable experience, and they wouldnt have missed it for anything.
