Show 10 News JVIES A parent and school Art Show Draws Many Exhibits meet- ing will be held on Wednesday, May 2, at 7:30 in the School mulit-purpo- se Elementary The art show held through the Monticello, was viewed and Library appreciated by many people, according to County Librarian in April room. This meeting is a follow-u- p of the district meeting on Education at the High School in March. The purpose of the meeting is to get the feelings and opinions of the people of the the community regarding School and its Elementary Maxine Webb. More than 60 paintings were on display and featured land- still life, portraits scapes, and some modern art. Both oils and water colors were used. Two special paintings programs. All parents and friends of the school are invited to attend the meeting that night. were painted by Emma Tallman Hyde in 1880. They were brought in by her Jim Pipkin and Angeline Wescott. Artists featured were: Sally (Blake) St. Clair, Joyce (Hewitt) Pearl Bergman, Whittaker, Ethel Butt, C leone Kent Frost, Lois Hansen, Shields, Mary Watkind, Raymond McAlister, Yvonne (Butt) Fincher, Max Stander, Jackie Hazel Fuller, Loonies, Avrelia Pederson, O.L. Richardson, June Bailey, Jeanne Jones, Lennie Jones, Kenneth on display 5th and 6th grade talent show traveled to B landing Elementary and Montezuma A great-grandchildr- Creek Elementary schools The students week. last appreciated the opportunity of presenting their program, - It was a good experience. The Annual Poetry Festival was presented by the fourth grades, under the direction of Mrs. Maxine Lyman. An appreciative audience of over 150 parents attended the festival. The students are looking forward to Field Day, which will be held on May 11th. Sixth Grade Graduation will be held oh May 23rd at 7:30. en R. BOBBI WILCOX Ford car driven by Mrs. Belle Tatton collided with a Toyota pick up driven by Jim about Sloggett Wednesday 1 p.m. The accident was caused by icy roads and poor visibility. No serious injuries were recived, however, extensive damage was done to both autos. Do you suppose different kinds of people will ever get it together so well? and Carla Bill, Anthony Ecols from Salt Lake City were here over the weekend, to visit their many friends. They are grandchildren of the late Alden and Inez Stevens. While here they stayed with the Harvey Blankenagels. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Eubanks motored to Logan Friday to take Mrs. Pauline Morris ( mother of Mrs. Eubanks ) to her home. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Allen were in Salt Lake City over the weekend for business and to visit their families. E4 Michael Hankins, 101 Airborne, Fort Bragg, S.C. is here visiting with his mother and family, the Karl Howells. Also enjoying their brothers leave is Bruce and Eddie Hankins from Dove Creek . Their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Huskey, from Dove Creek were also here to visit on Sunday. Postmaster Wilcox attended a NAPUS Meeting in Provo on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Chet Grounds from Bluff were here for Easter with Mr. and Mrs. Ace Grounds and Mel. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Inskeep and family picniced with the Jim Jacksons on Easter. Mr. Charlie Redd and children were in Bluff Saturday to enjoy the celebration. Mr. and Mrs. Max Fenn and Karon from Benson, Arizona were in Provo to pickup their daughter, Julie, last week.
