If possible submit the contestants's picture, age and future plans for publication on or before Monday, June 10. Also on June 14 a rehearsal and tea will be held honoring Mr. Kenneth P. McDonald awarded the scholarships to the students, followed by the presentation by Miss Karma Jo Palmer of the class gift. Principal J. Carl Osborn then recommended the candidates for graduation, with Superintendent Kenneth Maugh-a- n awarding the degrees. In addition to Dr. Maughan, who was seated on the platform, the School Board members were present as well as Mrs. Reta Bartell. The event .will be MC'ed by Bob Wljti, popular weather forecaster of KSL-T- V in Salt Lake City.-Th- e contest will be held in the San Juan High Auditorium in Blanding, at 8:00 p. m. Since not many young Blanding ladies have registered for competition, the period for registering will be extended through June 1. Those wishing to register may contact Helen Redd, Beppy Gibbons or Nancy Bradford. Judging will be on the jasis of talent, personality, ?oise and gown modeling. The bathing suit competition las been cancelled. To register, the young ladies must be residents of Blanding, never have previously been chosen a queen or an attendant, betwween 16 and 19 years of age (inclusive) and of single status. |
