Outing for Young and Old The Father and Sons outing to Chapeen Ridge Friday and Saturday, from the Three Blanding Wards, is reported to have been a huge success, with from 225 to 250 men and boys in attendance. They say it is a delightful place wich beautiful scenery and sparkling water, and something interesting was in progress during every' minute of their stay. The oldest one present was Arthur Hurst in his latter eighties, and the youngest was the fourteen-mont- h old son of Rex Harvey. They say the little Harvey got as much of a kick out of it as any one else, although he had to be most of the time in his fathers arms, and take his rations from a nursing bottle. Injuries in Fall from Truck Mrs. Jimmy (Karen Alexander) Slavens was seriously hurt when she fell from the side of a moving pickup truck. She had stepped on the running board to ride but a little way, when the door flew open, causing her to fall on the hard pavement. She was taken to the hospital in Monticello, where for some time her condition was uncertain, but at last report she has takn an encouraging turn for the better. Children Visit Aunt Robert Brinkman, twelve, and his sister, Susan, of Salt Lake, are d visiting with their aunt, Mrs. W. Redd, familiarly known as Allie Redd. They are children of ier sister who died some time ago. Successful Primary Program The Primary program given Sunday evening by the Blanding Third Ward was in several respects the most successful of its kind we have seen. For one thing, it was more liberally attended, due, mainly to the program which included a chorus of about 2 dozen men and women, and a kind of panel discussion, with about fifteen parents, who might not otherwise have been there. That was but a feature of the program, in which the children sang, and a number of the officers made an intwenty-fiv- e teresting demonstration. The whole stage section of the chapel was full- - of little folks wearing crowns or head ornaments, and looking not undike a seraphic band. Since we have been interested principally for the last half century with transforming little kids and older children into real men and women, this kind of program is especially pleasing. Much of the credit is due to President Venice Lyman and her twenty-fou- r helpers for the time and attention they give each week to this throng of little folks. Two other Primary programs similar to this were also given Sunday Le-an- JULIA BAILEY Earnestly Solicits Your Support . . . ...
