They will return to their Mesa home when school starts. Tikonas Club Outing Tikonas Club members and their husbands and guests met at the BM Bar Ranch Saturday evening for their annual summer party. After games of volleyball, badminton and horseshoes the group enjoyed a barbecued steak dinner. Purchase Home Mr. J. Y. Fine Arts Party The Fine Arts Club members and their partners met at Dalton Sprngs Thursday evening for a supper under the stars- - Following the meal the group joined in group singing led by Mrs. Carol Chapman. Honored guests were Mrs. Dolores Stewart who is leaving Monticello, Mrs. Madge Anderson who is the mother of a new baby, and Mrs. Reta B. Bartell who recently married- - Each of these ladies was presented with a gift, Welcome Home Mrs. Laura Robson returned from Oswego, Oregon where she has been attending summer school at Merrill Hurst College. Mrs- Robson was staying wth her daughter, Mrs. Laura Leatham who with her son returned to Monticello with her mother for a visit here. Mrs. Whittons husband is on the faculty of the University of Maine where he is writing his doaors dissertation. Mrs. Balian-tyn- e is from Salt Lake Gty. Democratic Conventions Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Peterson last week attended Democratic Conventions in Summit, Wasatch, Cache, and Carbon counties. Mr. Peterson is a Democratic candidate for U. S Congressman. Returning to Monticello with the Petersons was their nephew, Gerald Peterson. Ogden. Mr. Peterson is this week attending Democratic conventions in Jaub and Box Elder counties and a Democratic rally in Weber County. YWMIA Board Honored A patio supper at the home of Mrs. G Alfred Frost was enjoyed Wednesday by members of the San Juan Stake YWMIA Board. Honored guests were recently released members of the Board. The group participated in games by Mrs. Jolene Bailey. Daughter Reported III Mr. and Mrs. Karl Barton received word Sunday of the serious illness of their daughter, Mrs. Norma Tanner, who lives in Lethbridge. Alberta, Canada. Mrs. Tanner was to be operated on Tuesday, and Mr. Barton journeyed to Lethbridge to be in attendance. Democratic Candidate Frank E. (Ted) Moss, Democratic candidate for U. S. Senator, was in Monticello Monday at the beginning of a barnstorming tour of every town in Utah. Mr. Mosss car was pulling a gaily decorated house trailer which was painted with campaign slogans. He was accompanied by his wife and son. A dinner Monday evening at the Avalon Cafe honored Mr- - Moss. Master of cermonies for the occasion was F. Bennion Redd, San Juan County Democratic Chairman. The meeting was addressed by Mr. Moss and Blaine M. Peterson. Democratic U. S. Congressional candidate. San Juan Democratic candidates for the following offices were introduced: Seth F.
