Play parts were given to us. 1st year cooking class made molasses cookies from the quick-miwhich were real good. Other members worked on their sewing articles- We adjourned at 5:00 p.m., and will meet next time with Sharon and Verdell Harvey. Tuesday, July 26 The YY-Bclub met with the Harvey girls and the meeting was called to order by Pres. Beth Johnson at 2.00 p.m. Opening prayer was by Elaine Nielson. Pledges were led by Ann Nielson. Old and new business was then taken care of . We discussed our project work and practiced some songs. The 3rd year cooking dub invited the mothers of the members to a luncheon. The menue was Cream of potato soup, Vegtetable salad, hot rolls, carrot pudding with butterscotch sauce and punch. The mothers attending the affair was Mrs. Oral Johnson, Mrs. Her-m- a Johnson, Mrs. Wanda Nielson, and Mrs. Louise Harvey. The meeting adjourned at 5.00 p.m., to meet again on Tuesday, August 5. at the church. We will have play practice at that time. The YY-Bclub went to the mountain Thursday and spent the night camping out. Thursday afternoon was spent in nature hikes and sleeping. The campground was nice and clean and ready for the 4-clubs that were to come up for the annual outing on Friday. While sitting around the campfire telling stories, several little mice, and three striped kittens decided to share the camp with us. We got upon a table and let them have it. For about two hours they ran around sniffing the ground for any crumbs that had fallen during the evening meal. They semed very tame, but of course they were not crowd by any members of the club They finally decided it was a poor feeding place and vent into the brush. After crawling into our sleeping bags, we didnt stay awake long enough to see if they came back later. We enjoyed our Friday 4-day very much.
