An Increase of $3,000,000 of the estimated total of the 1928 crop over that of 1927 was indicative of the general good condition, he said. While some crops fell down, others went up in value enough to make the increase a large one, the 1938 total being (42,000,000. against $39,000,000 for 1927. A notable increase was that of all wheat, which mounted nearly $1,000 000 over 1927, both winter and spring wheat increasing in total value. The price in winter wheat went down, but the volume increased by nearly a million bushels. The price on spring wheat remained unchanged. Oats and barley showed a steady increase in volume, with a slight decrease in price. Corn enjoyed a sub stantial boost wnen ootn price ana volume increased. Alfalfa hay increased In total price more than $2,000,000, while all tame hay Increased close to $3,000,000 In total price.
