Please avoid disappointment and note the following: Hours Week of Dec. 20 & CLEVELAND Our mother, Udella Mortensen passed away Dec. 27: Marvous Andrew Mortensen Nov. 27, 1936 in Carbon County. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. She was raised in the Carbon County area. Udella enjoyed quilting, crocheting, oil painting and camping. In the summer she would be seen tending her flowers. She was an active member of the LDS Church and in earlier years taught primary. She became an honorary Grandma to many children. Her greatest tribute was her love and concern for others; family and friends. Udella had a spirited love of to GBS& life. She is survived by two sons, Mort Bartell and Linda Mortensen, Salem; Marvous Terrill and Judy Mortensen, Washington; eight grandchil- holiday hazards Ccvoiding dren; twelve (Hailey Hall, deceased). Udella had four brothers and five sisters, Lenore (deceased and Lowell (deceased) Davis, Utah; Dixiy Griffin and Walter (deceased) Simms, Calif.; Vernon and Delone Davis, Utah; Devon and Jean Davis, Utah; Delma and Chester (deceased) Simms, ous positions in Relief Society primary and Young Womens, and also served in most organizations with her musical talents. Dorris taught school in Emery County for 30 years at the elementary, junior high and high school levels. He was born Aug. 12, 1916 in Rosedale, Ind., to Harrison and Zenia Mitchell. He married Donetta Mortensen Sept. 24, 1938 in Price, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Harry was an active member of the LDS Church having served in numerous callings. When he was 16 years old he worked in the CCC after which he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked as a carpenter for 51 years and was president of Local 2202 of the Carpenters Union. SUNNYSIDE - Ronald Lee (Weed) Howell, age 57, passed away Dec. 7, 1999 at his home after suffering from cancer. He was bom April 24, 1942 in Navuoo, Ala., to Ed wen ONeil Aug. 3, 1963 in Sunnyside. He was raised in Bayview, Ala., and came to the Sunnyside East Carbon area in 1952. He was an avid arrow head hunter. He enjoyed hiking, watching television and visiting with his family and friends. Weed worked for Kaiser Coal mine for 26 years and for the past four years he worked as a machinist for Tram Electric. He will always be remembered as Randy and Kristen Howell, a hard worker and kind heart Wellington; four grandchildren, and loving person. Robert built the B&G Market in Helper, current R&A Market, where he was an owner and operator with his wife, Grace, for 30 years. He also owned a grocery store in Dragerton for many years. Life member of the Price Moose Lodge 166 and a proud member of the Good Sams Club. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and his cabin in Scofield. Robert loved making jewelry, rock hunting with his grandchildren and he also helped organize the first rock show in Price. They served together for 12 years and she was active in this service into her late 70s. She dearly loved being an ordinance worker, director of music, and service an as assistant matron. It was during this temple service that their love grew and became so cherished. She is survived by her husband, and Ruby McDougal Howell. Dorris was bom July 2, 1911 in Emery to Lucinda Bunderson and Irvin K. Williams. She married Taylor Lund Leonard July 2, 1937 in the Manti LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served in variliams on Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999 at the age of 81. She was born in Cleveland on Feb. 11, 1918 to Olive May Oviatt and Ernest Davis.
