Show 2A Emery County Progress, Castle Dale, Utah Tuesday, December 14, 1999 Elementary students open bookstore School to Careers, a program often associated with secondary schools, is doing great things for elementary-ag- e children also. At Ferron Elementary School where The Good Books Bookstore is located, Mr. Behlings 6th grade students run the bookstore. They select, order, market, and in ventory books. All bookstore profits go back into the bookstore or are used to purchase books for the school. Recently The Good Books expanded sales opportunities by taking books ta a local teachers workshop. They planned ahead for the books that teachers might want. Senior Citizen of the Week They took a few copies of books with them and order forms on which teachers could mark books they wanted. With a grant stipend from the Southeastern Utah Service Center teachers ordered over $4,000 worth of books. The students returned to class, ordered the books and filled the orders placed by teachers at the workshop. Students kept track of order costs, tax, and shipping. They have learned to buy wholesale, sell retail, and how to please their customers. The Good Books School-to-Caree- graduate nurses would do hour duty. She meet Clarence Carleton when he was hospitalized and she took care of him. They were married in Jacksonville Dec. 23, 1934. Clarence became ill with a malignant growth in his nose and mouth and died July 9, 1938. Anna moved back to Jacksonville and did private duty nursing. Then she worked at the hospital. She worked for a doctor until he retired. She then did private duty, and worked at Seaboard Railroad as a first aid nurse.
