Show Emery County Progress, Castle Dale, Utah - Tuesday, December 8, 1 998 9A Santa visits Orangeville Christmas Village HMEiPIiliSHIIiEH Christmas magic filled the air this weekend as Orangeville Park became Orangeville Christmas Vil- lage. Friday, Dec. 4 at 6:30 p.m. the lights turned on to usher in the holiday season. City workers and many volunteers pooled their efforts to transform the park into a fantasy land. Light bedecked walkways invited visitors to wander through the park in the chill night air. Icicles and holiday trimmings changed the pa- 00 songs, 1 00 sounds 100 rhythm Midi All lust 1 vilion and fence line into a dazzling display of color. Despite plummeting temperatures and an icy breeze, several hundred country 40 New residents bundled up to join in the celebration. Fridays entertainment CONSOLE PIANOS included the CEU Institute choir complete with a five piece brass band. Afterward a brave group of violinists under the direction of Janet Tuttle and Robyn Healey tuned up their instruments and filled the air with Christmas tunes. On Saturday evening several childrens groups, including the Showmasters and Show Time under the direction of Dawn Jeffs, danced and sang. The Millennial Jamboral places emphasis to service to others through acts of kindness and effective leadership. Service to others has been a vital part of scouting since its beginning. Each Scout takes an oath To help other people at all times. Scouts throughout Emery County and other counties within the Council will be taking part in Millennial service projects throughout the next two years. Each scout will be working to complete 12 hours of service in three areas: Neighborhood, Community and StateNation.
