Recently he was featured in the Nu Skin newsletter for October. John is the companys community relations manager, and the article was written by Crystal Ashton of Nu Skin. Who is the Nu Skin employee that receives an average of 60 phone calls per week from people seeking donations to various caritable causes, attends four community meetings per week, and is on eight community boards? Missionaries That man is John Petersen, manager of community relations. John has been with Nu Skin since July 1991. John worked for the Navy for 21 years in various locations including New York, Houston, Iceland, England, Scotland and Portugal. As the Navys public affairs officers in Houston, John was awarded the Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America for the Best Community Relations Project of 1983. He also served on a regional public communications committee, and as biship for the LDS Church. In 1976, while stationed in London, John met his wife Christine at a church function where they were paired to do the Charleston together for a road show. They were married three months later in the London Temple. John has studied communications and public affairs at various locations, including Brigham Young University, the University of Oklahoma, Department of Defense Journalism School at Indianapolis, Ind., and the D.O.D. Public Affairs Supervisors Course. He received a bachelors degree in liberal studies from the University of New York. John enjoys running and has completed four marathons. He played on the Northern European Navy Volleyball Team and conl, tinues to be involved in basketball and camping. John and Christine live in the Provo area near Timpview High School. They have four children: Neil, Heather, Ian and Rebecca. Mr. Winder states that Ms. Adams has at some time during her career filled all positions from being a m nursing assistant to being a facility charge nurse.
