The production was presented by Chamber Theater Productions Inc. of Boston at English 12 Washington of Sleepy Hollow; Legend The Monkeys Paw by W.W. by Jacobs; The Necklace Guy de Maupassant; and The Notorious Jumping Frog of Calaveras County by Mark Twain. In addition to the performances, the actors and Kingsbury Hall on the U of U actresses presented an incampus. Coach Neil Warren said it was an especially good showing for the team that has had strong finishes in each tournament theyve participated in this year. . This was a senior tournament, meaning that our freshmen and sophomores had to go into competition against juniors and seniors from the schools. We took just over half of our squad to this tournament and still won recognition as the second place petition, said. Warren hands-dow- n, CEUs freshman debate team of Scott Wardle and Brian Hall was the only junior team to survive six preliminary rounds and advance to the final rounds of senior debate, eventually claiming the fourth place trophy. A third place trophy was awarded to Melissa Jewell and Julie Taylor for their performance in duet interpretation. i Wardle and Jewell also won and fifth places, repectively, in impromptu fourth speaking. The tournament recognized the top also junior competitors in each event, and much of the recognition went to CEU team members. We began working early this year, and we have a very talented squad. I really think that our performances are much more polished than other squads around the region.
