Show m Emery County Progress Tuesday, November 8B m m r 1, 1988 ffuoids Board area miaseam projects Impact The Permanent Community Impact Board (CIB) for the state of Utah recently approved several requests for funding made by Southeastern Utah Museum Consortium, including starting up the Emery Museum of Natural History in Castle Dale and funding major renovation at the Western Mining and Railroad Museum in Helper. According to Bill Howell, the director of the Southeastern Utah Association of Local Governments, the College of Utah Prehistoric Museum and the John Wesley Powell River History Museum in Green River also received Eastern additional at the funding boards October meeting. Howell says the chances are good that the Helper and Emery museums will receive the remainder of the requested funding. He indicated that the economic development efforts of the consortium are strongly supported by the CIB chairperson, Alice Shearer, and board member Sam Taylor.
