Show E anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. They were married Nov. 20, 1916 at Castle Dale. Their marriage was later solemnized in the tmon service in the bishopric, the church grounds were landscaped and a tennis court built. Irene was born May 22, 1898 to Parley and Hannah Ralphs of Ferron. Irene was industrious and always busy, and yet found time to do service and acts of kindness for others. She has to Arth been a great through the years. Her interests have included cooking, gardening and quilting. Each of her rebuilt. Arthur made the statement that there was never anything so bad, but what some good comes of it. They felt Hawaii was indeed beautiful. This trip made Arth realize the many modern inventions that have taken place possibly stoke the furnace at our age. Arthur was born in Ferron Sept. 27, 1892 to John and Emma Lemon. The love of animals was second nature to Arth and it was very natural for him to choose this as a profession. He always enjoyed working with his cattle and in 1958 was named cattleman of the year. He was president of the Cattlemen's Association for life. He remembers traveling by ox team, horse team, horse drawn buggies and finally automobiles. He remembers when it took longer to go from Ferron to Salt Lake City by buggy than to go to Hawaii by plane. Arth and Irene are the parents of five children.
