Show 2A Emery County Progress Wednesday, November 30, 1983 country living Free garden catalog soon to be available a seed and plant for home gardener the catalog will be launched next month with the introduction of the 1984 Colby Home Garden Seed and Plant Catalog. The catalog will be a joint cooperative venture by six independent growers with Colby Greenhouses taking the lead. A new idea in order nursery catalog. Over 250 different varieties of plants (including bare-roplants) will be found in the catalog. Many rare and unusual plants from remote parts of the world will be featured. Many beautiful trees and shrubs (some that do not have common names), bonsai plants, popular plants such as azealeas and camellias will be offered in small pots at terrific savings over buying larger at length. Two contests The catalog is free for the asking. Write to Colby, 2211 Lincoln Road, Yuba City, CA 95991, and it will be mailed to you as soon as it comes off the presses in early December, plants in (or greater) cans. Over 25 different How To articles, and others of general interest, will be given great importance in the catalog. How to germinate tiny seeds (begonias have two million seeds to the ounce); how to make a cold frame do double duty; and how to rid your garden soil of weeds, diseases, and insect pests by solarization are among the topics discussed gallon-siz- e 1983.
