Voting for candidates of ona parly. If you want to cast a 'straight party vole for all tha candidates of ona party, fill in tha oval next to the party symbol at tha top of tha list of that party's candidates You may also fill in tha ovals next to each candidate s name, but this is not necessary If you filled in tha oval next to tha party symbol. How to vote your ballot Mark your ballot only with tha marker provided by the alaction judga. If you use any other type of pan or pencil, your vota may not be counted by tha optical acanner. Completely fill In tha oval next to tha party or candidata of your choice If an oval la not completely filled in, your vota may not be counted by tha optical acanner. Ballota may be printed on both fiie front and back. Do not forget to vote on leauea that are Hated on tha reverse aide of tha ballot. DO NOT vota a ballot that haa bean marked, a polled, or defaced. Idantlflcatlon marka or a spoiled or defaced ballot will make your vota Invalid. If you make a mistake, do not attempt to erase a mark. Instead, return your ballot to the election judge who wIN cancel the ballot and issue you a new ballot. Write-I- n voting You may also vote for a valid write-i- n candidate. You do this by legibly writing tha name of tha write-i- n candidata in tha space provided on the ballot or by placing in that space a sticker containing tha office and write-i- n candidate's name. You should also fill in the oval next to the write-i- n candidate's name (see fig 10). Voting for candidates of mora than ona party. If you want to vote for candidates from mora than ona party, fill in tha oval by tha names of the candidates for whom you want to vota. If you hava already voted 'straight party and then decide to vota tor a candidata from another party, simply mark tha oval next to the other candidate(s) of your choice (see fig 9). A vote 'FOR' an amendment or initiative means that you want to answer yes to the question. A vote "AGAINST" an amendment or initiative means that you want to answer "no" to the question. To vote on constitutional amendments and initiatives, read tha ballot title provided on the ballot, decide whether you are 'FOR' or "AGAINST tha amendment or initiative, and fill in the oval for tha appropriate response (see fig 11). How to get help to mark your ballot Voters who ara blind, disabled, unable to read or write, unable to read or write the English language, or physically unable to enter a polling place, may be helped by someone of their choice provided that the person helping is not a candidate, the voter's employer, an agent of the voter's employer, or an officer or agent of tha voter's union.
