Like many educators today, Ilamingson recognizes that natural settings like the wetlands provided wonderful backdrops for students to learn and to hopefully foster closer ties to their community. Integral to this learning and sense of wonder are several TNC volunteers who have devoted their time and expertise, senses of humor and creativity to provide memorable learning experiences for these students. Sarah Bauman, writer and naturalist, has contributed many articles for TNC! newsletters as well as countless hours in the preserve teaihing about animal tracks, scat, and other clues to wildlife. Patty Tyler, an avid birder and teacher, focuses her creative energy by engaging students to see the world through the eyes of a bird. Arnrni Kohn, educator for the M oab Outdoor Education program, has liecome known as the game master, facilitating outdixir activities that deliver Ixith fun and an important message about the natural world. The proposed project between Bloomfield, NM and Moab, UT will utilize existing pipelines. A new pipeline will be constructed from Moab, UT to North Salt Lake. The where the students created their own pinch pots from terra cottn clay. Next month the students Obituaries proposed Questar and Kern River proposals will carry natural gas from near Price, Utah to existing natural gas lines near Elberta and Nephl, Utah. The Draft Environmental Impact Statement Is available for Public Review and comment until April 16, 2001 and will be discussed In a series of Public Meetings.
