The look of stainless steel never goes out of style, and its as close to universal as you can get. ..it complements any decor, says Mike Gicela, manager, product planning, sinks and faucets for Elkay Manufacturing Company. Just the addition of a stainless steel sink can dramatically change the look of a bathroom, and along with that comes durability and convenience that vitreous china sinks cant match. The crisp, satin glow of stainless steel ages gracefully, developing a rich patina similar to silverware. It doesnt chip, crack, fade or rust, and everyday scratches actually blend into the Finish. Plus, the ease of cleaning that helps make stainless steel a hero in the kitchen remains a major beneFit for bathroom use. The only daily maintenance required is a quick rinse. maintain the materials natural luster, avoid leaving wet washcloths on the surface and clean up any soap or toothpaste spills. Ironically, while stainless steel is To tougher than ceramic, its also gentler. It actually gives when struck. So, if you accidentally drop a glass of water during the morning rush, its less likely to break in a stainless steel sink. Finally, recent studies have shown that stainless steel surfaces are less likely to harbor bacteria than other materials. |
