Nelson of Salt Lake City are leaving Sunday by jet for the east to epend two week with their dauhter and on in law, Mr. and Mr. Richard Wright and family of Glouceeter, New Jersey. Mrs. Wright will be remembered as the former MaReen Nelson. Mr. and Mr. Victor Roblex and family left lart Tuesday to return to their home in Wheatridge, Colo, after vieiting nearly a week with hia parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Roblex Ro-blex of Bingham and sister and brother, bro-ther, Mr. and Mr. Gerardo Melen-dez Melen-dez and family, Mr. and Mr. Ehaa Roblex and family and Mr. and Mra. Robert Richard Roblex and family all of Midvale. Mr. Milka Smilanich left by plane Thursday for Sacramento, Calif., to visit her on and daughter daugh-ter in law, Mr. and Mr. Paul Smilanich. Smil-anich. Mr. and Mr. Albin Johneon, former for-mer Bingham residents, now of Portland. Ore., were viaitora in Highland Boy Saturday. Mr. Sally Taylor and Mr. Kitty Manoa attended the Liona chuck wagon breakfart at Copperton on the Fourth. Dr. and Mr. R. G. Frazier entertained enter-tained at a fish fry at their home in Holladay last Thursday noon for Dr. H. C. Jenkins, Mrs. Sally Taylor, Tay-lor, Mrs. Pearl Cheever and Mrs. Pearl Knudsen. Enjoying dinner Sunday at the Kitty Hawk dining room at the new Salt Lake airport were Mrs. Milka Smilanich, Bob Radakovich and daughter, Kathy. Andrew Savich and Georgie Smilanich. Mrs. Robert McKay and children and Mrs. Julia RaUich of Butte, , Mont., were overnight guet of Mr. Milka Smilanich of Highland Boy Friday. Mr. and Mr. Jimmy Fike and children, Debbie, David and Curt of Montebello, Calif., arrived last Saturday morning ' to spend two weeks visiting their parents, Mr. and Mr. Hugo Biancbi and family of Midvale and Mr. and Mr. J. A. Fike and family of Copperton and other relative. Mrs. Tony Gonzale and children of Highland Boy left for Pueblo. Colo., to visit with her mother and other relative. Charle D. Hoglund, seaman apprentice ap-prentice USN, ion of Mr. and Mr. Chester Hoglund of Midvale, ia aerving aboard the deatroyer tender ten-der USS Dixie, operating as a unit of the Seventh Fleet in the Western Pacific. The Dixie and crew participated par-ticipated in the annual Black Ship Festival, May 16-17 at Shimoda, Japan. The festival held annually in the small fishing village, commemorates com-memorates the landing of Commodore Commo-dore Matthew C. Perry in 1854 and the 102nd anniversary of the Japanese-American Treaty of Trade and Amity which was signed in I860. The Hoglunds are former residents of Bingham and West Jordan. Bob Radakovich and daughter, Kathy, of Helper were overnight guest Sunday at the home of Mr. Milka Smilanich. Spending thi week with Mr. Eugene Morris of Midvale are her brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Wimmer of Ogden. Mr. and Mr. Mike Zdunich and children. Mike. Lori and Mark of Sacramento, Calif., recently spent a week visiting with Mr. Zdunich's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hennings and son, Robert, of Copperton and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Rakich of Yuba City, Calif., were visitor in Highland Boy Sunday. They are visiting at the home of his brother, Joe Rakich and family in Midvale. |
