Eighteen students, working with the colleges Sun Center, donated a day of their spring vacation to help with a project at the Conservancys Mayberry Preserve. The Preserve, located 15 miles east of Moab on Highway 128, has been the focus of a wildlife habitat enhancement project by local Conservancy staff. An fallow field was selected for seeding and planting in order to increase the benefit of the area to wildlife. Once planted, the parcel will be irrigated to ensure successful plant growth. The boards function is to advise the Moab City Planning Commission, Moab City Council and city staff on applications received for possible hillside development. Membership of this board will include a geologist, an engineer, a developmentrealtor, and a citizen at large. A member of the city staff will also sit on the board.
