Show November 4, 1999 Hiiiili caution urges rmeo caroet mu oic on vers A Airmen Against Drunk Driving, a new base organization that promotes safety, is looking for volunteers to serve as designated drivers. Patterned after similar organizations Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Students Against Drunk Driving AADD's goal is to eliminate cases of driving under the influence and driving while intoxicated on Hill AFB and in the surrounding area. A meeting to organize the designated driver program will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the by Tony Bencina AAFES general manager As AAFES general manager at Hill AFB, I'm proud to serve the people who shop in our store and I'm always grateful for the people who work in the exchange. Unfortunately, as in all companies, we occasionally have to discipline bad conduct in the employee ranks. I refer to the two employees who are alleged to have committed credit card fraud recently. It's important for everyone who uses a credit card to always keep track of the charges and to ensure that all items the credit card company charges them for are correct. This is the first time anything like this has happened at our store and we're working to ensure it's the last Customers who find a discrepancy on their credit card bill should immediately contact the issuer of the credit card. Normally, a written notification must immediately be made giving exact information about the disputed charge, such the reason for the dispute and any documentation would that card credit as the correct support the receipt position that the disputed charge is incorrect. I urge all our valued customers who have made charges at the Hill AFB Main Store Exchange to be especially diligent when checking their recent charges. Be assured that all those found guilty of wrongdoing in this matter will be terminated from AAFES and that, in connection with the base legal office, prosecution in the civilian courts will be pursued as appropriate. To ensure this type of criminal behavior doesn't happen again in this store, we're taking extra precautionary measures to identify the cause. We continue to work hard to make sure the Exchange is your number one shopping conference room of Bldg. 125. Specific training needed and the time commitment will be discussed.. The designated drivers will be available daily, around the clock, to all base personnel, and will provide pick-u- p and drop-of- f service for anyone impaired by alcohol consumption or prescription medication. The free shuttle service will be staffed entirely by volunteers. For more details, call 2nd Lt. Charles Monette at Ext.
