Ford Hilltop Times staff and just 113 pounds, Sean of Kelley Ogden doesn't look imposat but the World Special Olympic ing, games held recently in North Carolina, the "Little Bigman" brought home a bronze medal and three golds while At5-foot- -l capturing the powerlifting combined championship. "I feel really good about it," Kelley said of being the world champion. "It's all about strength and really working out." In the combined event, athletes are required to squat, bench press and deadlift as much weight as they can. If a lift attempt is failed, the athlete is required to complete that weight before being able to move up. The overall champion is determined by a points system where points are earned from - J, 1 . lifts in the three individual events. Kelley squatted 235 pounds and dead-lifte- d a remarkable 278 pounds. His bench press mark is 159 pounds, which is just about 1 12 times his own body weight. Representing the State of Utah and the United States, Kelley came within just a few pounds in the squat from sweeping the entire event, dropping to third and earning a bronze medal. His gold medals were earned in the bench, deadlift and overall events. On hand at the powerlifting event was box office superstar and seven time Mr. Olympia, Arnold Swarzenegger. After a failed attempt on the bench, Kelley got some needed encouragement from the former world champion bodybuilder.
