TOTAL In the past several years the Treasury Department has done very little to simplify a banks published Statement of Condition, and in many respects it is probably even more confusing to those who read and try to understand it. For instance , it never made sense to us why they required hanks to publish a figure that is actually $2,321,007.77 as $2,321 in a Statement of Condition. It is even confusing to us and we deal with it from day to day. We have never understood either why they lump banks and savings and loan associations into one category when they are as different as night and day but that is another matter. We've tried to simplify our Statement of Condition and we hope this explanation in Everyday Language " will help us give you a better understanding of First Western National Bank 's financial condition.
