Karrie J. Lemmon entered a plea RETURNED FROM OREGON Mrs. Virginia Johnson has returned home after a visit to the Pacific Northwest. She spent Christmas in Oregon and Washington with her daughters, Mrs. Jerry d (Kae) and Mrs. A. Roy Ouellette (Dorothy). While in Oregon with Kae and family they received a telephone call from, the soccer coach at BYU telling them their daughter Jennifer had been chosen (with two other girls) to play on the Western League Soccer Team. This is a picked team that travels with members from other states. Jennifer is a student at BYU and played on the Soccer team there. Tracy McDonald pled guilty to charges of third degree felony burglary and Class B misdemeanor theft. A report was ordered and sentencing was set for Feb. 10. In the case of state vs. John Fitzgerald Williams and Veronice Williams, a motion was made and granted vacating the trial date of Jan. 23, and continuing to Feb. 10 for further proceedings. Charge in the case is second degree felony robbery. In state vs. Wesley Carl Rether-fordefendant had been charged with issuing a bad check, a second degree felony. The state requested a trial setting as defendant had not complied with terms of a diversion agreement entered into earlier. Jury - ce d, trial was set for April 30. In the case of state vs. Alice M. Butterfield, defendant was charged with issuing a series of bad checks, a third degree felony. The state prepared a diversion agreement, which the court approved and signed. Defendant was released pursuant to terms of the diversion agreement. In the probate division, final settlement and distribution of the estate of Catherine E. Chapman was granted; a personal representative was appointed in the estate of Lucile Margaret Lile; and a personal representative was appointed in the estate of Joan K. Flynn. Divorces were granted to Kelley Eilleen Williams from William Grant Williams, to Bonita Gray Hawk from Michael Dale Hawk, from LuDean Kay Walker from Lawrence R. A Russ Donoghue accepts national R WA posi tion Moab resident, Russ is Donoghue leaving his position as program director for the Utah Rural Water Association of Utah to become a training officer for the national association, effective January 15. Mr. Donoghue assumed his position in Utah, with headquarters in Moab, in 1981, leaving private business in Moab. Prviously, he and his wife founded and operated Slickrock Country Campground, and before that they were both faculty members at Grand County High School. "To be asked to serve on a national level is certainly a recognition of his talents. He really turned things around for the Utah association while he managed it, Hilbert said. In his new position, Donoghue will train managers from 34 state organizations and also educate others in the drinking water field. His wife, Marjorie, an auditor for a local accounting firm, will remain in the Moab area through the end of tax season, and will then join Russ in Oklahoma. Her sister Mrs. Mildred Wendley brought Hallie home on her way to Arizona to visit her husband Joe who is employed there. Hallie is doing quite well and is glad to be home.
