In conformity with the Federal-ai-d Highway Act of 1968 the U. S. Department of Labor has certified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum wages to be paid on this project. Releases from Navajo Dam will be reduced from 1,800 to about 1,500 cfs and will remain at that level through May. Work to repair damage from last seasons runoff continues at Glen Canyon. The left spillway is expected to be completed by late and the right one May to of end the July. by They still are not expected to be needed this year. mid-Jun- e, Green River interstate completion project i$. advertised for contracts The Utah Department of Transportation announced Monday that Utah was among the recipients to be awarded Federeal-ai- d Interstate Discretionary Funds for fiscal year 1983. The U.S. Secretary of Transportation apportioned $19.04 miUionto UDOT for the completion of 2.3 at Green River and 13.8 miles of miles of between Scipio and the Sevier River in Millard and Juab Counties. Monies for these projects come from funds lapsed by other states which were unable to use all there Interstate apportionment as of last October 1st. A special discretionary fund was also established under the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1982. Utah was able to obtain these funds because it had used all of its apportionment and had these projects ready for construction. Bids will be requested for both projects this month. Completion of the project will open traffic on another section of freeway between Scipio and NephL The final segment of between Nephi and Scipio, the section from Mills Jet. to Nephi, will be funded from the regular 1--15 1--15 Interstate apportionment for 1984.
