Show FRED L. SKINNER Funeral services for Fred Leo Skinner, 65, of 598 Wasatch St., Midvale, former resident of Copperton Cop-perton for a number of years, were held Monday, Oct. 15, at II a.m. at 8090 So. State St., MidvaJe. Mr. Skinner died last Friday, Oct. 12 at I :20 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital hos-pital of natural causes. He was born July 26, 1897, in Provo, a son of Hyrum and Christina Chris-tina Henderson Skinner. He married mar-ried Edith Roberts in Malad, Idaho, Nov. 26, 1929. He was a retired carpenter for Kennecott Copper Corp. Surviving him are his widow, Midvale; three daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Shirley) Stoker, Newport, Calif.; Mrs. William (Barbara) Lyons, Bountiful, and Mrs. Thomas (Bonnie) Lamoreaux, Murray; nine grandchildren; and two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Melvin (Martha) Long, Eureka, and Mrs. Bud (Rhoda) White and Jesse Skinner, both of Provo. FURGIS Funeral services were held Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 279 So. 2nd West, Salt Lake City, for Mrs. Yianoula (Jennie) Karter-oulis Karter-oulis Furgis, 63, of 1443 Kensington Kensing-ton Ave., Salt Lake City, former resident of Bingham Canyon for many years, who passed away Monday, Mon-day, Oat. 15, at 1:30 a.m. at home after a long illness. She was born May 15, 1899, in Sparta, Greece, to Spero and Olga Karteroulis. She was married to Chris G. Furgis in 1923 in Salt Lake City. She belonged to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She came to the United States in 1923. Surviving her are her husband; two sons and two daughters, George Geo-rge C. Furgis, Midvale; Peter C. Furgis and Miss Olga Furgis, both Salt Lake City; Miss Melia Furgis, San Francisco, Calif.; three grandchildren; grand-children; and a brother and sister, Sarandos, Mestra, Greece, and Mrs. Helen Makredakis, Athens, Greece. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery. |
