Show UH ill W.S.C.S. MEETS October meeting of the Woman's Society of Christian Service of St. Paul's Community Church was held at the home of Mrs. Dan Groves in Copperton last Thursday night, Oct. II. Mrs. Gus Hatch was co-hostess. co-hostess. Winnie Esterak ' of Salt Lake City was guest speaker and spoke on the special agencies of the United Nations. Plans were also made for observance obser-vance of Week of Prayer and Self Denial to be held Oct. 25 to 31. The week will open on Oct. 25 with Quiet day services at the church starting at 10:30 a.m. and lasting until about 2:30 p.m., theme of which will be "Memory, Expectation Expec-tation and Power". Also daily special spe-cial devotions will be held in the home during the week. On Sunday, Oct. 28, the Woman's Wo-man's Society will be in icharge of the I I a.m. church service at the church and conduct the week of prayer services. Talks will be centered cen-tered around education and mission mis-sion work in various countries. I Capt. and Mrs. Wayne Fullmer and children, Christie and Jimmy, left Wednesday to return to Minot, No. Dak., following a two weeks' visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Fullmer of Midvale and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Martin of Magna and other relatives and friends in the area. William Noble of Burbank, Calif, enroute to Montana to visit his daughter, visited a few days at the home of Mrs. Helen Sullenger of Midvale. Mr. Noble is Mrs. Sullen-ger's Sullen-ger's brother. He left Tuesday for Montana. Mrs. Lila Dahlstrom and Mrs. Pearl Knudsen of Copperton, Mrs. Pearl Cheever of West Jordan and Marie Gile and Lola Stringham of Murray attended the monthly meeting meet-ing of the Salt Lake County Medical Medi-cal Assistants Assn. at LDS Hospital Hos-pital last Thursday evening, October Octo-ber II. |
