Show WOMEN'S CIVIC CLUB Bingham Canyon Women's Civic Club held their annual fall card party at Immaculate Conception churtch hall in Copperton last Wednesday Wed-nesday night, Oct. 10, according to Mrs. Marvin Throckmorton, publicity pub-licity chairman. 26 members and guests attended. Bridge and bingo were played. Prizes at bridge were awarded to Mrs. Udell Wankier, first; and Mrs. A. J. Sargent, second; sec-ond; and house prize was won by Mrs. Russell Bryant. Table decorations decora-tions included three arrangements of fall flowers in pumpkin holders which were later given as bingo prizes. They were won by Mrs. Sam Dispenza and Mrs. Rosa Scroggin. Lovely refreshments of nut bread, fruit salad, orange punch and nuts were served by the hostesses who were Mrs. Verio Kendrick, chairman, chair-man, Mrs. Ross Cushing and Mrs. Boyd Anderson. A delightful evening even-ing was enjoyed by all. Next month's meeting on Nov. 14 will feature a book review to be given by Mrs. Odell Peterson, a past member, and several numbers num-bers will be presented by students of Mrs. Merlin Sorenson, reported Mrs. Throckmorton. Drake Sturgill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sturgill of Kearns, arrived ar-rived home Monday evening from San Diego, Calif., on an 18-day leave following completion of navy boot training. He reports to Jacksonville, Jack-sonville, Fla., at end of his leave. |
