"Nothing has had an impact on this century like the automo bile has. He carved them in soap as kid srowins ud in Lehi in the '40s. He built and raced hot rods as a teen-agin the '50s. In the '80s and '90s, his bronze recreations have earned him the title of "the ranking sculptor of the automobile." :The detailed sculptures have won major prizes and appeared on the covers and pages of numerous expen sive magazines that cater to car collectors in Canada and Japan, and antique dealers as well as throughout the United States. In addition, Wanlass has been recently featured in Forbes magazine and was the subject of; a segment of a TV show, The World of Speed and Beauty.
