It is also a good opportunity for Tumble Dry to showcase its talent," Bushman said. Payson band director Connie Erickson said she appreciates that the band would hold a benefit concert. "I am really grateful that they would donate their talents," she said. "At the start, our goal was just to raise a lot of funds for the band program, but now it is to put on a good show and entertain people while we help out the band," Holdaway said. Tumble Dry members include Holdaway as bass guitarist, Rob Peterson as lead singer, Bill Zimmerman on keyboards and Jared Young on drums. The group has been together From The Daily Herald, May 31, 1998: from local band Mulberry Drive is more evidence that Provo can and does produce good, solid music. The group's sound is acoustic, occasionally laid back, but never slow or tired. The songs flow nicely as guitars, bass and other instruments blend together to produce songs that are e rock 'n' roll. generally Songs like "Stay Away" and "Your Only One" are catchy, Jubilant tunes with fun harmonies and the sort of professional-soundin- g wonders. energy usually associated with one-hThis is no one-h- it wonder band, though. In an album with 10 songs, there's nary a weak link. The music is creative and interesting; while the lyrics are they're not particularly deep. But who wants depth? It's a fun album. "That was a real learning experience for me," he said. "They taught me how to be a good hypnotist, then all I had to do is combine it with the comedy." Biscuit compares hypnosis to singing in the shower. "When you are hypnotized, you aren't different, you just aren't worried what anyone thinks about you," he said. Biscuit got his start in hypnosis in high school, just for fun. Later, when he opened the club and started bringing hypnotists in, he thought to himself, "I could do this." He continued his hypnosis education at the Utah School of Hypnosis, studying with it three years and put out a CD, called "Mulberry Drive," in 1998. The band's music is acoustic pop, reminiscent of bands like Toad the Wet Sprocket and the Eagles (see PROVO Biscuit the Magnificent will perform his hypnosis show at Johnny B's Comedy Club this weekend. These shows have been selling out, and are a favorite of audiences at the club. There's just one question: Is it real? Biscuit says yes. "First of all, I don't have time to round up enough people to be in 5 different shows, and I definitely don't have time to 'practice a 6how with people ahead of time. It's all volunteers," Biscuit said. "If you watch a show, it has to be obvious that it is very spontaneous. Every show is a surprise to me. Every show something happens that I have never seen before.
