He's wiggled his waggles away. Raffi is back. Three years ago, the world's n children's entertainer turned away from kids to focus on what he calls the "global ecocris-is.- " Now, after a tlood of letters from frustrated parents around the world and a period when no one seemed to listen to his songs, Raffi has come full circle. With rekindled hope and new friends, including Vice President Al Gore, Raffi has chucked his isolation and this month began a y tour back to and all the America's children way to Broadway. What would be the point? In those museums that make up Madrid's Golden Triangle, the rule is "Don't Touch," and for Moreno, who's blind, you can't enjoy art you can't feel. "The problem is that the blind can't capture vhat those museums have to offer," said Moreno. But no longer. Now he and others can enjoy what is being billed as the world's a largest museum for the blind hands-o- n of architecart, display ture, manuscripts and historical instruments. "A blind person could never grasp this if it weren't done this way," said Moreno, assistant director of the National Organization of the Blind's cultural center that 16,200-squar- e houses the foot Museum for the Study , . "I feel that I'm connecting again, that I'm useful again," he said in a recent interview. "So much has happened. Millions of kids, moms and dads have spent more hours than they can count singing along with Raffi at the top of their lungs. "You gotta shake, shake, shake your sillies out . . . You gotta wiggle your waggles away . ' ' His ode to the little donkey "Tingalayo," and his loving, laughing treatment of serious subjects such as bathtime and littering are known to millions.
