Show Exercise in cold with caution, reap benefits without harm 11, 1993 Thursday, February Radiothon raises funds for needy - 1U SALT LAKE CITY Primary Children's and KSL have joined efforts for the 17th year to raise funds for financial assistance of needy children at Primary Children's Medical Center. This year's event is set for Feb. 16 and 17 and will air from PCMC. "We are very proud to participate in this extremely worthwhile project," says Bill Murdoch KSL Executive Vice President and General Manager. "There is nothing more vital than the work Primary Children's does for children and we are happy to assist the hospital in any way we can. We have been involved with Primary Children's for many years to raise funds for children at the hospital, and we look forward to this year's event." Members of the team include KSL personalities Doug Wright, Bob Lee, Chris Tunis, Tim Hughes, Rod Tammy Kikuchi, Amanda Dickson, Don Shafer, Maria and other KSL television personalities. "We appreciate KSL's support on behalf of the children at Primary Children's," says Dwan Young, Chair of Primary Children's Board of Trustees. "The station's generous donation of 24 hours of programming, and countless hours of etfort provided by their staff certainly illustrates their commitment to this community." The Radiothon will hit the air waves Tuesday, Feb. 16, beginning at 4:00 p.m. and continuing through 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 17. The Radiothon will feature interviews with Primary Children's patients, parents, and staff. Many of the patients are currently hospitalized or recently treated at the hospital. Listeners will hear the story of Ericka Anderson who has cancer, Nicole Holbrook who had a brain tumor removed, and Camila Wam-sle- y who is recovering from an auto accident. 3 i (( . f I "''ft' J A l I r V s, Peterson 60th Sixty years ago, Feb. 11, 1933, Judge Martin M. Larson presided at the marriage of M. Dale Peterson and Elinor O'Brien at his home in Provo. Elinor was a daughter of James F. and Inga Johnson O'Brien of Spanish Fork, Utah. She attended school at Spanish Fork and worked at the Delmonte Cannery. Following her marriage she served as a primary teacher, secretary and a number of years as Primary president. After her children were grown, she spent many years in service in the Relief Society as visiting teacher and su- Jalee Eastwood, daughter of Scott M. and Sharon Eastwood of Orem, will marry Allen R. Miss Orem dates set OREM Registration opened Wednesday, Feb. 10, for contestants wishing to enter the 1993 Miss Orem Scholarship Pageant. Entries may be submitted until the closing date, Wednesday, March 3. Entry forms are available at the mayor's Office at the Orem City Center, 56 N. State Street. They must be returned to the same office no later than 5 p.m. on the closing date. Gayla Muir is serving as general chair of the annual event. She has named Tiffany Stone and Lisa Lund, the current first and second attendants, as entry chair. Official rules and regulations are included with the entry form.
