Show MAN KILLED MONDAY IN COUNTY CAR ACCIDENT A 38-year-old Kearns man, father fath-er of seven children, was killed Monday about 8:20 p.m. and three others, the victim's wife and two occupants of another car were injured. in-jured. Kenneth B. Thomson, 38, 4098 W. 5500 South, was dead on arrival at Salt Lake General Hospital after taken there by a County Fire Department De-partment ambulance. The victim was thrown from his automobile .into a field, investigating officers said. Suffering minor injuries in the accident were his wife, Corrine, 34, w th bruises and lacerations, and Mrs. Bob Jimas, 38, of Copperton, wife of the driver of a second car. Mr. Jimas suffered a bump on the head. County sheriff's deputies said the accident occurred when an auto driven by Mr. Jimas north on 3200 West collided with the westbound auto driven by Mr. Thomson on 5400 South. The impact knocked the Thorn- son auto and the Jimas auto into a pickup truck going south on 3200 West driven bv William Gedge, 55, 2201 W. 13400 South. He was not injured. Mr. Cedge was stopped for a stop cign, Deputy Don Weston said. The Thomson machine careened an a northwesterly direction into a field. Mrs. Jimas and Mrs. Thomson were also taken to Salt Lake General Gen-eral Hospital in Salt Lake County Fire Department ambulances. Both were treated and then released to private physicians. |
