Show Tuesday, December fiTii She By BOB THOMAS Associated Press Writer LOS ANGELES This (AP) seems to be the season of the Olympia Dukakis Film Festival, since the Academy Award winner is simultaneously appearing in three major productions. "It seems that way," she comments with a throaty laugh, "but actually, it's a coincidence. These films, which have been done over the past 2Vi years, just happened to be coming out at the same time." They are: "Look Who's Talking," as the nagging mother of Kirstie Alley; "Steel Magnolias," as a sardonic widow in the small-tow- n comedy drama crowded with stars; and "Dad," as the overbearing wife of Jack Lemmon and mother of Ted Danson. The trio may seem like a bountiful harvest from her warmly applauded win of the supporting actress Oscar for "Moonstruck" earlier this year. But all were in the works before that happy event. The actress was here for "Steel Magnolia" festivities, and she appears in an interview as she does on the screen: warm, worldly wise and intelligent. The Oscar seems to have changed her not at all. She's still the same Olympia Dukakis who did such a fine selling job as Aunt Millie in the spaghetti sauce - in) for Olympia Dukakis commercials. "Steel Magnolias" threw six volatile actresses together in a small Southern town, a potentially explosive situation. But Olympia said she and her Sally Field, Shirley MacLaine, Dolly Parton, had Daryl Hannah, Julia Roberts a ball. "Sometimes it was very raucous, and lewd and lascivious," she chuckled. "We had a lot of fun together, bawdy. At other times it was very reflective, philosophical. We discussed life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
