Show and family and Mr. end Mrs. Dennis Den-nis Butterfield attended a Butter-field Butter-field family Christina dinner at the home of Mr. and Mr. Max Beckstead in Riverton. Thirty-eight member enjoyed a lovely turkey dinner and then gifts were exchang ed later in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Beers and family visited relatives in Pleasant Grove last Sunday afternoon. Claudia Butterfield, John Johnson, John-son, Sylvia Smith and Taylor Chip-man Chip-man were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bud McDonald in Magna Wednesday evening, Dec. 26. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Anderson entertained members of Mrs. Anderson' And-erson' family last Sunday. A lovely love-ly dinner wa served and games were played. Elwood Buchanan of Venice, Utah, is spending the Christmas holidays at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Dimond and family. Mr. Buchanan is Mrs. Dimond' father. Jeanne Anderson wa hostess to a Christmas party for some of her friends last Saturday evening. Refreshments Re-freshments and game were enjoyed enjoy-ed by the group. Kerry Beckstead of Riverton was a Christmas night overnight guest of Norman Butterfield. West Jordan Fourth Ward held a Christmas program Sunday morn ing in Sunday School and the choir presented special numbers Sunday night in sacrament meeting with Jerry Dimond a special speaker. Mr. and Mr. Bill Rager and family, fa-mily, Danny, Kenny, Rochelle, Rea-non Rea-non and Brian Earl were Christmas day dinner guests at the home of Mr. Rager' parents, Mr, and Mrs. W. E. Rager of Lark. House guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Varanakie for the Christmas holidays was Pete Ksp-pos Ksp-pos from Denver, Colo. Mr. Kappos is fiance of Klea Varanakis. Mr, and Mrs. Mel Kidder were hosts at a Christmas dinner party at their home last Sunday for their son, Bill Kidder, Miss Cheryl Bate-man Bate-man of Midvale, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hogle and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ro-bert Reynolds, both of Salt Lake Citv. Mrs. Joe Badovinatz and their families. This was the first get together of all the family in 22 years. After dinner visits to their different homes was enjoyed by all. The newly appointed Old Folks Committee for West Jordan Third Ward got together and made up a basket of food and took it around to the old folks of Third Ward two days before Christmas. There are 29 old folks in West Jordan Third Ward. The Old Folks Committee are Mr. and Mrs. James Steadman, Mr. and Mrs. Friedman Pierson and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Richardson. Relatives visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orvil H. Dimond Wednesday afternoon were their family, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dimond of Magna, Mr. and Mrs.-R. Mrs.-R. Z. James and son, Richard and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Steadman spent Christmas Eve in Ogden as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mar cell Graham and family. Christmas day visitors of Mr. and Mrs. T. Earl Kelly and family were Mrs. Kelly's sister and husband, hus-band, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond S. Chad wick and children, Raymond and Shelley, of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. James A. Kelly, parents, of Mr. Kelly, from American Fork. Claudia Kelly returned to Ogden with the Chadwicks for a few days visit. Christmas Eve guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hettrick Het-trick were Mr. and Mrs. Shirl Kirk of White City, Sandy. Zella Whitehead of Midvale. Wednesday evening the male chorus of the Bingham High School acapella choir were taken out to dinner by Wendell Checketts, their music director, and enjoyed roller skating at the S and M rink. Later balance of the evening was spent in trying out and working up some quartets among the boys. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hettrick Sr. and their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vranes were dinner guests Wednesday Wed-nesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Badovinatz and family. ' - ." The family of Mrs. P. T. Bate-man Bate-man held their annual Christmas party at the home of Mr., and Mrs. Mark L. Money and family in Hol-laday Hol-laday on Christmas night. West Jordan Third Ward, held Christmas programs both in the Sunday School in the morning and at the evening service last Sunday. At the Sunday School program the pageant "The Shepherd Who Would Not Co" was presented along with other numbers. It included singing by the Sunday School teachers and tableaus under direction of Mrs. Royal Spratling. Linda Wixom and Merrilee Wells wore readers. The evening service included "The Story of Christmas" given by H. W. Jor-gensen Jor-gensen and songs by the men's chorus, choir, a ladies double trio and the Singing Mothers. |
