Bylund Sept 4. 1912. who had been left with five children at the death of his wife They then had nine children, and they raised two grandchildren These children are Leslie E Gordon L Howard E.. LaMar A Sterling M., Elmer K Bylund. and Velma B Brox. Dagmer B. Aycock, RuthB.Kjar. and Colleen B Morrison The grandchildren are Boyd G. and Robert L. Johansen Bylund Melinda Lambert to Marry James R. Erma Caroline Valentine was born in Brigham City to Nephi J. and Ottalina Valentine where she lived until she attended the old Weber Academy in Ogden where the Jacobs met. She attended Utah State University and taught school in Brigham until Mr. Jacobs returned from an LDS mission in England. They were married Nov. 22, 1928 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Ogden where Mr. Jacobs owned and operated a service station until 1959 when he sold his business and they moved to Provo. For two years he attended Brigham Young University where he had the opportunity of attending classes with three of his sons. He later worked for the U.S. Forest Service and BYU. He is a life member of Sons of Utah Pioneers and participated in the 1947 Centennial Trek which was a Richard Christofferson, Lett.
