Show KENNECOTT NAMES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER James Boyd, vice president, exploration of Kennecott Copper Corporation, announced today the appointment of 'Lowell B. Moon as development manager. Mr. Moon will direct the engineering en-gineering phases of the company's com-pany's exploration activities. His office will be in New York City. Following his graduation in Geology from the University of Minnesota in 1930, Mr. Moon had extensive experiencee in mining geology in the southwestern states, Bolivia and Chile. In 1939 he joined the U. S. Bureau of Mines, where he was engaged in examination and evaluation of mineral deposits and directed exploration ex-ploration activities. For five years he headed the mining division of the bureau and later the minerals miner-als division. He joined the exploration ex-ploration staff of Kennecott in January 1952 as district geologist for the northwestern states and Alaska. r |
