March 24, 1983 in a Provo Hospital. He was born Nov. 11, 1911 in Sunnyside to Martin and Mary E. Vuksinick Matekovic Sr. He married Anna Mae Ferri in 1934. They later divorced. He married Natalie Cpnnell on June 19. 1948 in Salt Lake City. He completed his early schooling as an henor student in Spring Glen. He formerly was employed with Union Pacific and Denver ,ind Rio Grande Kail-road- s He also worked Martin Matekovic ns a coal miner in Carbon County He began working as a switchman with U.S. Steel Geneva and in 1952. He division superintendent J retired in 1976. He was an avid golfer and a charter member of Riverside Country Club. He was a former member of A1SE. A1MME. Utah Transportaion Club and B.P.O.E. No. 849. He was active with Handicap Awareness and the M S. Society. Survivors include, wife, Provo; two sons and a daughter. Michael Jon Matekovic and Mrs. Thomas i Andrea Kaei Lefly, both of Denver, Colo.; Marvin D. Matekovic, U.S. Navy (ret. i; eight grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; two brothers and 11 sisters. Elwyn Wride AMERICAN FORK - Elwyn Wride, his son's March died 85, 1983 in 23, Wednesday, home. He was born July 10, 1897 in Provo to Evan and Phoebe T. Ward Wride. He married Margaret Hayward on Feb. 19, 1926 in Salt Lake LOS Temple. She died Dec. 7, 1982. He was a telephone worker with Mountain Bell for 47 years. He was a former member of the American Fork Lion's Club. He served as president of the Alpine Stake Seventies Quorum for several years. Elmer Madsen JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Elmer Coleman a former Madsen, died 65, Midway resident, Sunday, March 20, 1983 in Jacksonville, Fla. He was born July 29, 1917 in Midway to Elmer and Merle Coleman Madsen. He married Marion Hinson in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He attended Brigham Young University and received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Utah. He also received a doctorate of law degree from the University of Florida. He attended the U.S. Air Force School of Applied Tactics and served in the Air Force lf for years. He was a 7 pilot, flying 50 combat missions. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, four Air Medals, 10 Battle Stars, Presidential Unit Citation and the Soldier's Medal. He was an Assistant U.S. Attorney and U.S. Attorney for the southern district of Florida for seven years. He was U.S. bankruptcy judge for the southern Florida district. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission to the southern states. He was district president for south Georgia, LDS group leader in Italy, president of the first stake in Florida and the first stake in Miami. He was bishop of the Airport Ward in Salt Lake City and the Jacksonville Second Ward. He was a member of the general priesthood committee for six years and re gional representative of the Twelve to the Atlanta and Florida regions. He represented the LDS Church in its Florida holdings. Angus Sproul Angus Randolph Sproul, 81, Provo, died Thursday, March 24, 1983 in Utah Valley Hospital. He was born Nov. 9, 1901 in Washington County to Angus and Julia Ellen Van Orden Sproul. He married Rella Elison on Feb. 4, 1925 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was educated in the Thomas, Idaho - Schools and attended Ricks College. He fanned in Idaho until moving to Provo in 1942. He worked as a hod carrier in construction and retired in 1967. Angai Sproul He was a member of the LDS Church. He served a mission to the Southern States when he was a young man. He and his wife served a mission in Springfield, Mo. He has been a temple worker in the Provo Temple since it opened. At the time of his death, he was a high priest in the Provo 10th Ward.
