Show Sunday, May 7, 1972 Brother and Sister To Present Recital Carmen Dragon Conducts Utah Symphony Orchestra in Provo inCarmen Dragon, terna tionaHy famous composer-conducto- r, will appear in concert with the Utah Symphony at Brigham Young University's Marriott Activities Center, May 11 at t pjn Mr. Dragon's appearance, along with that of guest soprano Jeannine Altmeyer, will follow appearances at Weber State College May 9, and at At. t i the Salt Kyle and Liisa Rowberry, son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rowberry, Provo, will present a piano recital on Thursday at 6:30 pjn. at the Pleasant View First and Third Ward, 650 E. Stadium Ave. in Provo. The two young performers are students of Paul Pollei. Kyle has studied with him for three years and Liisa has been under his direction for two years. Both are Provo High School students. Kyle is a junior and Liisa is a Lake Tabernacle May 10. Program numbers for the concert wiL include "America, Dvorak's the Beautiful," "Carnival sophomore. Overture," Massenet's "Meditation from the opera Thais," Weber's "Der Freischuetz: Leise, Leise," Puccini's "Ea Boheme: Mi Chiam&.iO Mimi," and Johann fitrauss's "Waltzes from Gypsy Baron." Other works to be performed at the concert include Marquin's "Espana Cani," a fantasy from the traditional "Greensleeves," Dvorak's "Song to the Moon Gounod's from Rusalka," "Jewel Song from Faust," and Mr. Dragon's own "Memories of America." Many of the program renditions will be as they were arranged and recorded by Mr. Dragon and the Hollywood Bowl Symphony Orchestra for Capitol I Records. His appearance is arranged by the Standard Oil Company of California. Mr. Dragon lias been involved in virtually every type of musical activity.
