The play One Thousand Cranes will begin the Young People's Theatre season Nov. The production will take place at the Bryant Intermediate School, 40 So. 800 East. Her story became widely known in Japan, and in 1958 a statue was unveiled in Hiroshima Peace Park of Sadako standing atop a mountain holding a golden crane.
