Written by Joseph Stein with music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick this production was under the direction of Kent Burrell. The large cast was headed by Justin Ivie, playing a very likable Tevye, who delighted the audience with a wry stage personality. His musical performance was limited by a severe sore throat but he was able to adapt style nicely to perform within his limitations. He was paired with Laurissa Gines who played Golde, his wife. They had some fine moments together especially when they sang "Do You Love Me?" The three daughters were played by Melanie Meiling, Lisa Mangum and Julie Finengan. The audience in the character part by Robyn Dunmire and her other half as the eight-foo- t tall visage careened about the stage. The orchestra conducted by Julie Christofferson was large and played quite well but occasionally overpowered the singers on stage. Technical aspects of the production went smoothly except for minor flaws with the sound system. Community support of the drama program at West Jordan has grown steadily over the years and the near capacity audience was not disappointed in this trip back to Russia. The trip could have been shorter but it was still worthwhile. delighted created Highest Prices Paid First Fidelity Mortgage Corp 270-333- 0 i on BUCKET LAUNDRY ii'-- DETERGENT WITH T uJ &Sf!
