Smartt and Rachel Thatcher exchanged rings in a ceremony performed in the Salt Lake LDS The family of Jesse Hatch, Midvale, will honor his 80th birthday with a family dinner and celebration. The event will be Sat. Dec. 1st at the home of his grandson, Wayne Siggard, 8579 Snowville, Dr., from 4 until 6 p.m. Jesse was born in Vernal on Nov. 30, 1904, the 10th child, and a twin, in a family of 13 children, to Martha Luella Thomas and Josephus Hatch. Jesse is the only son still living and his three surviving sisters will join in the celebration. His sisters are Sarah West, Pleasant Grove; Erma Griffin, Provo and Veola, Santa Clara. to Columbus, Ohio. Attendants to the bride were Cyndee Crittenden, Ruth Tyson, Temple on Nov. 1st. A wedding breakfast at the Seville Reception center followed the rites and later that evening a reception was given to honor the newlyweds at the Crescent 23rd ward. Mr. and Mrs. D. Weston Thatcher, Sandy, are parents of the bride. She is a graduate of Lehi high and is attending the University of Utah. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Smartt, Salt Lake. He Becky Thatcher, Sarah Thatcher and Lynette Smartt. Presiding at the guest book were Wesley Ledet and Jodie Jex. Best man duties were performed by Steven K. Smartt. The newlyweds will make their home in Salt Lake following a honeymoon to Park City. parties were hosted by Jodie Jex and Yvonne Jex. Pre-nupti- On July 24, 1923, Jesse married Helen Kamm in Jacksonville, Illinois. The young couple settled in Pittsburgh, Pa. where he built the family home with his own bare hands. This was during the great depression and the home became a haven for family, friends, neighbors, ......And LDS missionaries and anyone in need. Love of fellow man and our country were taught to all In that family. He is a master-lathe- r by trade and is active in the LDS church where he attends the Midvale East Stake 3rd ward and is a high priest. Jesse and Helen are the parents of nine children, five are living. They are Nancy (Mrs. Ardent Scott, Marilyn (Mrs. Norman) Kuch, both LaCrescenta, California; Senator Orrin Hatch, Vienna, Virginia; Norman Cluff, Provo. Their other children were Kenneth and Helen, who died as infants, a son Jesse who was killed in WWII and a daughter, Chloe Rosenhan who died n 4 Kristin Makes Five Ins K. Buhler, Midvale City Recorder for over 18 years has recently added the fifth generation to her many descendants Little Kristin Thomason, born April 28, 1984 in San Diego completes those five steps. Others in the generations are Iris's son, Roscoe J.
