He will nlav a Chonin Art Festival Spotlights Talents of Central Utahns IN THEIK STARRING ROLES AS Joan of Arc and The Dauphin of France, Carol Thorn and Brad F. Bailey art part of the BYU production of "Joan of Lorraine" which will continue during Art Festival Week, Oct. 26 to Nov 1. A mmmmmmMmmm full week of cultural activity in cluding art displays, concerts, drama and dance presentations will be included in the Central Utah Festival which opens today and culminates in the first annual Fellow-chi- p and Awards Banquet of the Arts Council of Central Utah on Saturday. A continuing exhibit of works of local artists including painters, musicians, if writers, dramatists will open at the Spring-vill- e Museum today and a reception will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. The exhibit will be on display all during the month of November. One of the highlights of the Festival will at 8:30 p.m. tonight at the Recital Dr Hall, Harris Fine Arts Building. Clinton F. Larson is chairman of the vent sponsored by the Poetry Society, ANTICIPATING THE ANNUAL POETRY FIRESIDE to be held tonight at the Recital Hall Harris Fine Arts Center are participating poets, from left, John S. Harris, Clinton Larson (chancellor of the Fine Arts Council) , Mrs. Richard (Carma) Anderson, Fred Forbes and Clyde L. Weeks, Jr. They will read original poems as will many other n local poets. and the League of Utah Writers and the BYU English Department as a yearly celebration of National Poetry Week. Everyone interested in poetry is welcome to attend. Poetry by some 20 local authors will be read, many of them by the authors, them- selves. Monday will include the opening of another week of the presentation of the BYU drama "Joan of Lorraine" in the Pardoe Drama Theatre with curtain time at 8:15 p.m. The play will conclude Friday evening. The performance of the Budaya Troupe, an Indonesian dance group, which is part Concert series, will of the begin at 8:15 p.m. Monday in the Harria Fine Arts Center Concert Hall.
